Christmas comes early for B&P College thanks to Rock

Christmas came early for Business and Professional Students at The Bournemouth & Poole College thanks to Rock! We donated £4,000 to help the college's Business School to purchase new laptops and furnishings to liven up the teaching area and give it a modern professional office feel.

There was a great atmosphere in the main hall of the Lansdowne site as dozens of students tucked in to a Christmas lunch while certificates for achievement were handed out.  Angela Fletcher, was asked to present the students with their awards.

Jenifer Salahudin, Head of Business at the college, praised Rock for its commitment to the young business students and the consistent support it has given the college. “It's quite remarkable that Rock have supported us in this way. We do have backing from a number of companies but Rock are particularly generous and approachable for our students," said Jenifer.

Two outstanding students from the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy, Kirsten Bird, 17, from Bournemouth and Josh Clayton, 19, from Verwood, were invited to thank Rock’s Director Angela Fletcher on behalf of the college. Said Josh: “It’s so encouraging for us to see enthusiasm and interest from local companies in what we are learning here. All the students are grateful to Rock for this support.” .
