Sales Manager

We are looking for the ‘Face of ROCK’; a confident and caring individual who can build new business across multiple markets in a fast-paced environment, as well as nurture our existing client relationships.

Additionally, the Recruitment Sales Manager will be able to act in a Team Lead role to empower, manage and motivate our team of Specialist Recruiters to deliver to targets and KPIs.

The role will report into the Managing Director.

Key responsibilities and activities:


Accountable for new business acquisition and successfully negotiating and closing commercially viable deals

Contacting potential clients via email, phone and meeting face-to-face

Regularly attending conferences, meetings, and industry events

Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives in collaboration with the Marketing Manager

Preparing and delivering professional business presentations

Collaborating with our specialist recruitment consultants to develop their markets and convert leads provided by them

Working closely with the specialist recruiters to ensure a seamless delivery on SLA objectives and a detailed handover of roles

Maintaining contact with existing clients to nurture relationships and identify and obtain additional business opportunities

Ensuring that the client CRM is kept up-to-date.

Team Leadership

Motivate and manage the recruitment team to enable consistent delivery of targets and KPIs

Ongoing evaluation, monitoring and reporting to the Managing Director on team progress towards targets

Responsible for providing regular sales forecasts to the Managing Director

Identifying and supporting team training needs / development

Generating sales strategies across the team

Promoting and implementing process changes and improvements to maximise efficiency, effectiveness and productivity

Driving the company culture.

Skills and experience you need to excel in this position include:

A passion for business development and excellent personal drive

Proven track record of successfully negotiating B2B sales deals and hitting sales targets

Ability to provide a consultative, caring and creative approach to sales

Commercial acumen

Strong communication

Team player

Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines

Excellent time management and organisation

Experience in leading and motivating a team

Previous experience within a recruitment role would be hugely advantageous as we need you to understand the process from the ground up, as well as the commercials

Current full driving licence and vehicle for the purpose of client visits

Flexibility to travel UK-wide and attend industry events as required.
