Rock Recruitment are currently recruiting a Southern Area Sales Manager for a well-established manufacturer of synthetic fibres for industrial and marine uses.

The business is looking to build on its success through investment in talented people to develop three UK territories Southern. The business focus is orientated around quality, customer service and British manufacturing. The role will suit someone that is able to thrive off these values and develop business off the back of this message.
The role will be primarily focused on covering a geographical territory with a focus on retail, service and OEM markets. Predominantly field/home based there will be regular office sales meetings to ensure that the support is provided within the team which will be aligned to the successful candidate final location. The role will be responsible for both existing business, from a large customer base, while also focusing on new business development within the geographical area. Knowledge of the industry and people will be beneficial although not essential. Good knowledge and experience of, or passion for sailing or commercial marine experience will help the successful candidate (although not essential).

Proven sales experience
Pro-active team player within sales
Processional face to face manner
Boating/Sailing experience would be an advantage
The successful candidate should be career minded and enjoy a challenge. The ability to travel within the UK with the potential of being away from home several nights a week (depending on successful candidate location) will be essential within the role. Degree level education is beneficial although not essential and an attention to detail and a passion for product based sales will aid the successful candidate.
The salary rate will be based on experience and market knowledge but will be made up with a mix of basic salary and sales commission based on targets. This ratio typically tends to be in the region of a 80:20 split.
The role will also include a company car, laptop and phone.
The role attracts 28 days holiday per year including public and bank holidays.
